Apple experienced a 3% growth in NA and maintained its dominance in the region for three consecutive quarters thanks to strong sales of the iPhone 13 series, iPhone 12, and the most recent iPhone SE. Apple shipped 18.5 million units during the most recent quarter, giving it 52% of the US smartphone market.
The best-selling Android smartphone in Q2 2022 was the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which was also the sixth-best device overall. In this quarter, Samsung shipped a total of 9 million units, securing a 26% market share.
Thanks to strong sales of the Galaxy S-series and A-series, Samsung smartphone shipments rose 4% in the second quarter of 2022.
Google has expanded its presence in North American regions over the past quarter. Google experienced a quarter-over-quarter growth of 230%, and its market share increased, doubling from the previous year. In terms of quantity, Google sold 0.8 million units in this quarter compared to just 0.2 million the previous year.
Lenovo and TCL each claimed 9% and 1.8% of the market for other brands.
